08 Grill MOD

So wanted a new look and I ehh like the cmod grill but wanted a more open mesh area, so we cut out the center of the OEM grill and seperated the chrome, fit the mesh around the tabs and it reclamped shut and a few coats of black

looks good. Did you fill the part you cut with filler or leave it be and where did you get the mesh.

Cant use that mesh the OEM opening is wider, that only covers 3in that was my original plan to use, but I did get it from Home Depot
gutter guard spaces in mesh is alot tighter which I liked

I know the home depot mesh works but check this site out.....http://www.customcargrills.com/

The flat mesh reflects and is more visible. Had it on my old Ram Air hood and that stuff will slice your hand open...... http://www.customcargrills.com/prodd...mond%5FExtreme

Grille looks great!

Can you give me some more information on that mesh? Is it plastic or metal? You bought it at Home Depot? What section of the store did you find it in?

I did this with 13 gauge expanded metal:

I like the looks of your grille much better!

Ok so after Working for about an hour i got rid of the leftover pieces on the side, as planned, i do have so finish sanding to do on the passenger side.

I have attached more photos of all the steps i went through up till this point.

If any one was wondering i get my mesh from the place at which i work..
