04-06 with 6000k headlights

So I got 6000k headlights and matching fog lights from opertic. The fogs look great, slight hint of blue. However the headlight lens has a noticable hint of purple. When I drive up to a wall the colors match. But the projector itself looks purple. Is this normal for everyone here that has 6000k headlight bulbs, does the housing have a purple tint to it or is it possible I was sent the wrong color bulbs? Again the light output seems to match. I have the factory HID option.

What are you talking about? I never said anything about returning anything. What other one are you refering to? Who are "they" and what could they say?

I just had 6k's installed on my 08 and I think it's just how the light reflects off the housing but it is only noticeable when the lights are on during day light, I see the purple color on mine. As long as the light is projecting the diamond white color at night you should be fine.

your housing are different though. I see the purple a night. when you a good distance away the fog and headlamp match, but up close the lenes don't match. One is blue and one is purple.

it might just be the angle that you looked at it. it should be fine if the colors match on the wall.

ChrisD im looking to upgrade my fog lights in my 06. What bulb size did you get, is it just pull out the old bulb and putting the new one in, and did you have to take off the whole headlight assembly or can you do it with it still bolted on?

You need the H3 bulb, as well as an HID ballast. you need to take out the headlight assembly because you need to drill a hole into the housing.
