Losing 3rd gear maybe?

The last two days when I was driving to work I tried smashing but my fujita sometimes was really loud and other times not so..Not like how I remembered. I thought it was maybe some sort of heat related since I have to commute 80 miles one way. Is it?So today I put it into manual mode and @60 mph @4k rpm tried smashing but it stalled and didn't move up at all.. But the car always did act funny with manual at 4-5 gears not moving at all.But on auto it worked perfectly. Always shifted before redline.

I have a 2006 SE 5speed Auto with 34k miles. If it's my tranny. Should I rebuild it? And if so will this happen again in the future. Im not talking about taking it to AMCCO but a performance shop. Im not looking into replacing the car either..Just need to know what would be the best option..

Wow, first time hearing about that. Definitely take it to the shop to check it out. I don't have any suggestions...

Yesterday I drove my car at night when I had more time to test. I found that 2 gear pulls a lot harder than 3rd - 5th gears. Normally 3rd would pull the hardest. If I would drive normally I wouldn't off notice since the car doesn't shake or anything when shifting. I'm getting 25mpg. RPM in auto shift at 1.5k-2k normally it would be until 3k. When driving at 40mph I switch to manual and its at 5th gear already.. 34k miles on my car and I think I gotten the tranny curse...
