Hi everybody,

Just wondering if someone has an experience with something like this:

Thinking about getting an HID kit with H3 3000K to put in foglights.
Price is too nice to not buy it if will work fine. Unless product is not going to fit right or of poor quality. It sells cheaper than some PIAA bulbs.

Sorry people arent actually answering your questions... Deal with that all the time... but with those Ebay kits, it's kind of hit and miss... You never know what you are getting until you get it and try it. For that reason, it's always better to go with a reputable seller like operatic on here. He has great kits and he is a great seller and MANY people on .org buy from him. If you want to get the cheaper kit, by all means do so, but just know that you get what you pay for and the output or materials used may not be of the best quality. Just talk to the seller on Ebay about them before buying... Good Luck.

Ebay sellers mention 2 year warranties:
"The warranty covers any factory defects with the bulbs and ballasts. If the product stops working within 2-Years from the date you purchased it, we will replace the defective item. It's as easy as that! Keep in mind that our defective rate on our HID Kits and parts is less than 0.5% (yes, less than 1%!) so you can buy with confidence."

And for the cost of 1 full fuel tank - not too expensive in my opinion.

The only question is if that HID H3 will fit in the fog light space. On the picture they have it appears to be at least twice the length of standard H3.

 

only way to check is to take one of your fog lights out and put something in the hole and measure the length. Then ask the seller what the dimensions are for the bulb. If it works then get em. those 12k's look nice

 

I personally wouldn't buy any HID lights from ebay, like propa said, buy it from operatic in the group deals or PM Maxxxpower or check out his site to his product and work: http://maxpowercustoms.com/default.aspx

 

Finally installed the $49 HID H3 kit from ebay. Required some cutting and drilling, but nothing major. Everything is working fine, 5000K fogs look brighter than stock HId driving lights.

My point exactly. Have to go and do all that unnecessary stuff to just upload an image.

 

Not like you're the only one. Just do it and be done with it. Its not that hard.

Looks good. I'm a believer of ebay HID kits. I've got three and they run fine.

Those who say otherwise just want to sell there's for double the price.

 

Some of us just prefer to support the forum members. Then we KNOW that IF we have a problem, it will be taken care of.

You know half those members are just buying them from China anyway.

And double the price, come on. If you're running a real business, you should know that you can't expect to make more than a few dollars per product while keeping the price competitive.

OEM HID kits are a completely different story...

 

Group buy section lists exactly the same kit as on Ebay, but for $11 more with only 1 year warranty. Ebay kit has 2 year warranty.
