no sound clips but it sounds good with cai and block off plate.

the y pipe did not hang low at all. honestly the only problem is that the passenger side muffler is a bit off angle.

Has anyone gone with the Greddy SP2 or Spectrum Elite catback systems, whats the main difference. Don't want something with alot of drone or too loud. Also has anyone done it on a 07/08 with CVT, how is the sound with the way the CVT shifts. I have installed a K&N intake which sounds alot better when shifting in manual mode.

I had the Nismo catback on my 07. It's supposed to be one of the quieter systems but with the way the CVT shifts, it had droning between 1500-2500 rpms. There's a member on the other org that bought the Spectrum Elite for his 2007 and said that it's pretty quiet.

I'm still waiting to put this ebay system on which I'm already assuming will having droning issues. I bought some silencers which I think will solve the issue but I'm having trouble drilling a hole into the bottom of the tip. The silencers will only be used when my wife and son are in the car.

There was a dent in one of the mufflers though. Hopefully it gets covered. I'm dealing with their customer service right now. They said to send a clearer picture. Does it look obvious to you guys?

If it doesn't get resolved, I'll probably paint the muffler face black after I get some better looking tips on there.
muffler faces are now black. you can barely see the dent now. all i need to do is get some holes in the bottom of each tip for the silencers and the system will go on.

got the system on earlier this evening. it was too dark to take photos. i'll try to get some up this weekend along with a video.

it has a surprisingly low and mellow tone. it's definitely not as loud as i thought it would be and it actually passed the wife test. i won't be using the silencers anymore.

i do plan on changing out the tips for nicer ones.

i'll keep you guys posted.

i have a nismo catback that i might be selling in the future. i was looking at replacing it with a magnaflow resonator and 2 black vibrant mufflers.
i dont want to cut up the nismo, because its a nice setup. ive had it for 2 yrs (give or take) and its in good shape.

i was also looking at the ebay headers/ypipe setup just for headers. i have a racingline ypipe, so if i get the ebay setup i might sell that racingline ypipe with the nismo.

just thought id throw that out there

install went pretty smooth. the tips were touching the bumper after i got them on but i gave each one a nudge downward with my foot and they fell into place. the passenger side tip was kind of angled upward so it's about half an inch from the bumper. the driver side is almost an inch from it.

i painted the inside of the tips black after this. it actually makes it harder to see the exhaust from the back. all you can really see is the rim of the tips from far away.

i think i'll decide whether or not to swap the tips or the entire mufflers later down the road. i was planning to get 14805s but that fell through because the vendor was out of stock apparently when i placed the order.

cruising inside the cabin with the windows down (excuse the music in the beginning)

the drone is not bad at all on the freeway. it's actually more tolerable than it was when i had my nismo.

i'll try and get more vids up later.

Im got my ebay headers for my cvt. havent installed it yet but the quality seems really nice. I do have other mods. Like SSIM and Spacers, also cattman y and b pipes. stock mufflers tho so my car sounds stock except when it reachers 4000 thats when i can hear the jita roar and spacer whistle. thats also when i can feel ssim kicking in. But i will thro them headers on before ill go get my tune.

Ye Bruno ur right i will sell my y pipe as well cause headers that i got came with the y pipe. altho i will by another resonator to make the car a real sleeper . Yo if u will sell ur nismo hit me up i might pick that up from u )

mrmurphz, How is the drone between 1500-2500rpm and how does it sound with the CVT shifting. For the price it might be worth getting this system over the Greddy SE. Do you have any more sound clips, ie from the rear of the car.

Drone is not bad at all but it's all a matter of preference. To some it might be too much. I do know that this system has less drone than my nismo did.

I'm buying some better looking resonated tips. I'll try to get some pics and vids up after I get them on.

With headers, that exhaust will sound VERY ricey.

Good decision going with Magnaflow mufflers, OP...

Can seem to start a new tread. Installed my GReddy Spectrum Elite system this weekend, install was easy took about 1hr. It looks and sounds awsome, no drone that i can hear, at highway speeds its petty quite with a nice tone. I will post some pics later.

Does anyone know if the headers are still being made? I found a couple of ebay catback exhausts and they're probably the same..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-05...item2eb006bcc6

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-C...item4152e55997

but I came out empty handed when I searched for the headers.. does anyone have a clue where I can find a place that sells it?
