Dead battery again? Car possessed? or what?

I was in and out of my 06 max today...maybe 10 times. Started up fine each and every time.

In the garage today, I see the lights flickering, the flashers, and all the tiny button lights inside the car.
They were dim, which I assumed meant the battery was dying.

License plate light and all the possible tiny lights inside were flickering.

Why does it do that? Obviously the battery is dead, I pulled it out, have to wait until tomorrow to go to Oriley's when they open.

This battery is not even a year old so I know I will get a replacement, buuuut what does this mean?

Alternator?

Could be the alternator. Do you have any aftermarket components added on? Maybe security system, remote start, or something else causing a slow drain.

No sir. Electrically, all stock.

...by the way, why the flicker though? It flickered nonstop, I had to basically unhook the terminal so it would stop. I checked all my doors and they were shut after I left.

I just thought that was really weird.

The oem battery died about a year a half ago...but I mean it was just [ turn on the car, battery click click click click] and thats it.

Are you saying the lights were flickering while the car was running in the garage or that you went in to the garage (car off) and they were doing this?

Car was completely off. When I got back in the garage to start the car back again, it was flickering by itself. \
At any rate, I took the battery back to the shop. They tested it and I guess it was bad, so they replaced it for free..it had a 2 yr warranty with free roadside assistance. Not bad for 80 bucks when I bought it a year ago.

Make sure ur battery terminals are clean. I have seen neglected terminals all the time and it makes it hard for battery to charge and to deliver power to electrical systems.

my connectors to my battery were lose, and that was a huge problem just the simple terminal wire made it seem like my alternator was bad or battery was dead, i would make sure all your terminals are hooking up tight

theyre squeeky clean
I use a toothbrush to clean them once a month with that terminal cleaner spray...I think it was just the battery. What I did notice is that the car was just a slite tick hesitant to start on cold...which I thought was odd being the battery was fairly new.

may have been a sign that the battery was slowly giving out

with this new one, it fires very very quickly. I hope this one lasts longer than a year though
