WTF?

Sooooo, for the past 4 days I been hearing some funky noises coming from my front end. It was a combination of squeek and thump at the same time. I started to hear it more when I would go over speedbumps. Finally today I decided to check it out and put the front end on Jack stands. To my surprise this is what I found

This is the passenger side front strut. Boot is torn and black rubber (Bump stop?) ripped in half. THe upper white/yellow rubber piece is still good I guess.

Here is the driver side

The driver side black rubber thingy is also starting to tear

So my question is, what should I replace and were can I order? I have the front GR2 struts with progress springs.

Thanks

I been doing some research and found out about Moog parts. Are the boots and bump stops any good from them or should I stick to KYB? Also, I can't seem to figure out where to find the black rubber piece that's all torn out. Can someone tell me were can I find a good replacement and what is it for? Is it another bump stop? I don't remember if those came with my GR2's or my progress springs. Not sure if I even need to have them. Please help.

Thanks

Just go to Napa and get another boot cover....cheap. Call progress and see if they still have the bump stops for you. Thats all there is to it. Replace your strut mounts while you are doing these things.

Thanks for the response. Just wondering, do I need to have that bump stop even though I already have the one sitting on top? The kit I bought came with the boot cover and the white bump stop that goes on top. If I don't need to order the black bump stop from progress, I'll just but new boot covers and mounts.

you will need a bump stop due to your lower suspension. If your stock one is cut like I did mine prior to installment (cut the top off), then yes...if no, you may be able to do without the progress one. Hope that makes sense
