Tire problems, 2006 Max

At 35k miles I replaced the OEM Eagle RSA's, with Dunlop Signatures. At 4k miles steering wheel vibration occured at at 60mph. Took back to tire shop, rotated, rebalanced all 4 tires - still had vibration, though at 45mph. Tire shop indicated there was also an odd wear pattern in the center of the tread. Tire shop advised to drive 1500 miles and return for inspection - they rebalaced again and used different type weights. Most of the vibration went away, however there is a noticeable increase in tire noise, especially at 45mph. Car was aligned (4-w) when new tires installed, also visited dealer and they checked out suspension, all OK.
Any ideas? Could the belts be shifting in the tires?
Thanks

Happened to me last week! I installed new wheels and tires at discount tire and my car was riding smooth! I went and asked them to try new tires on my rims. They did it and I left. But this time, I started feeling the vibrations. Steering wheel vibration between 45mph and 55mph. Also, a little when stepping on the brakes. Needless to say I was not happy.

I called the dealership about it. They said I might need new brakes and rotors. Of course, I did not go for that.

I took it back to discount tire. Got my free balance and rotation. Then left from there and went to firestone and got my free lifetime alignment done again. Got on the freeway and maintained speeds between 45mph and 55mph, no more vibration! 3 days now and no more vibrations whatsoever.

I am surprised you did same thing but yours is not fixed yet. And the dealership confirmed it is not suspension. If the noise is still there, something is definitely wrong. Seek another delearship. Goodluck.

tire problem

I took car to another tire store and they let me watch each tire on the computer balance machine. All four tires showed 40psi and were way off balance. The tire shop that installed the tires rebalanced three times in a six week period - I think their machine is bad, needs calibrated etc. When I left after the new balance, no vibration and the road noise was minimal. Never had this happen before, as most equipment of this type should work - wonder how many other other return to this shop and complain!
