Sounds like it's not locking correctly you might want to fix that ASAP

I noticed it on mine too. I have an aftermarket grill and I think that might be the problem. I changed it back to OEM for the winter, so we'll see shortly if I was right..

I have an 07 and the back part of the hood near the windshield moves at highway speeds too. I was going to try and put some pads or rubber bumpers under there to see if that help support that part of the hood but I haven't found the right stuff yet. Hopefully someone has done this or has a suggestion

There are 2 rubber bump/stops at the front of the hood. Either side of the grill. Turn them counter clockwise to make a tighter fit

Yeah, that was one of the big complaints by Car and Driver when the reviewed the 07. As said, the hood weights very little thus the flopping around at high speeds.

Mine doesn't move at the grill, it moves up by the windshield where the washer fluid comes out. Can ya tell me how turning the rubber bumpers at the front stop the back from moving? Does lifting the hood in the front cause it to rest on something toward the back? I don't see that effecting what I have going on, but maybe it does.

The 5th Gen sometimes suffered from the same behavior. So much so, there was a TSB on the issue, and a $20 weatherstrip pack that Nissan designed to adhere to the channel at the top of each headlight housing.

Maybe there's a TSB on the 6th Gen to address this similar issue?

I was told when I bought my car and my wife's Alty (07) that you DO NOT want to push down the hood when closing it...just hold it up about 12" and let it drop. It's an aluminum hood and you could easily dimple the hood. Same issue with the hood flexing. It's aluminum...I wouldn't worry about it.

What he said. I've noticed this on 5th & 6th gens I've driven. The hoods on them didn't really "move," but you could witness flexing at the rear near the windshield if you looked closely. This was really apparent at 70mph+ on the interstate.

Let me elaborate on my comment: my hood used to have a slight flutter to it on the passenger side by the windshield. I installed the specific weatherstrip pieces identified in the 5th Gen TSB for this issue, and problem solved.

Research it yourself, or ask your dealership about the problem. You could ignore it as 1hawaii50 suggests, but that's not likely to happen.
