so yeah i noticed past few weeks my performance has been going down hill and on idle a small weird knock noise not loud low sound and i was driving down the high way lost all power thought it was the intake the way it was gasping for air took the intake off and it ran because i could not get it started with it on and i could only go fifteen mph and it was knocking like crazy had a cam code got to my mechanic the drained the oil and peices of brass fell out you kno what that is.....spun the main bearing engine gone! the enigine had cuts in it and everything!!!!! just got a salvaged motor with 4000k miles on it and it was not cheap! so yea this sucks both cats were demolished too!!!!!

105,000 on my '04 and never an engine or tranny issue...no mods, usually just drive normally..

 

this is crazy especially for an 07. Was this engine modified? if not did you have any warranty on the car?

The precats may have failed and the debris from them could have gotten sucked into the cylinders and grenaded the engine.

jim wolf technology really nice set of cams go on youtube and look up a 350z with jwt cams it sounded radiculous but not no more in this motor i took them out but not putting them back in gonna do a rear mount turbo setup on the ngine that will put me at 395 wheel so yea if anyone intrested i got all the info
