Time 4 a new headunit? Need advice

i finally decided to lose the stock bose (( income tax )) mainly because it fades between speakers plus i jus crave somethin new from looking at everyones pics of decked out consoles..
and at the top of my list is the pioneer avic z3 but i have a few concerns..

1. i would like to get rid of the info screen or move it if possible
2. any suggestions?!? i jus want a nav system with some form of multimedia play whether it be via ipod or hard drive.
3. Do i need to get in contact with a specific type of AV man or should anyone be able to pull this off because i personally dont trst anyone who hasnt done this before

ive been asking around with no luck but if any of the vets here can help id appreciate it. Especially if i can find sum1 near me on here who understands what im tryna do

1. yes do it, it's really easy.
2. look at the new Pioneers Z3 is now old school!
3. depends on your install skill level, I didn't;t personally do mine but it;s pretty straight forward.

I have a D3 and feel waaaay behind compared to these...

Cool.. I've installed decks before but never a d-din but it shouldn't be too much different.. Pull one out put one in. Esp if I see an install in here somewhere but my prob is losing the info screen. I evn considered replacing the colnsole with a
Bose navi out an 05 but never confirmed if the swap is possible..
