Make a trip up here to KC.

My buddy owns a shop that will wrap anything.

Here's a reference pic...

Are you trying to get the whole car wrapped?? I say go for it!! I have my spoiler on the max wrapped with the 3m matte black wrap and it's amazing. I did the wrap myself. There's a shop 5 mins from my work that sells the vinyl wraps. I'm going to be doing the top half of my Max in a month or so with the matte. So I can have the 2 tone look. I say go for it!!

The durability is amazing on this stuff. Outdoor life is expected to stay good for 6 - 7 years depending on the brand you get. The 3m stuff I got has 6 - 7 years life span. You can wax, wash and polish it too just like paint. It's been raining crazy over here in Cali and mine has held up as if were still brand new. If you're going to do just some pieces of the car like hood and roof I'd say get the sheets and do it yourself. You'd be amazed at how easily the stuff goes on. It took a little practice for me but this stuff is crazy!! You can take it off and if it wrinkles blow dry it and it goes back to perfect shape. I got my vinyl sheets at www.instylegraphics.com

I have always thought of getting a mod like this. If it is easy to come off and does not leave any mess on your paint, I will like to look into it. Would like to make my car look aggressive, more sporty, and just unique. But would love to take it off after some time. If I could just see some more pics or videos or could see a photoshop of a Max with it. Would be great.

Any Max covered with vinyl out there?

not to mention they are mostly fiberglass and weigh more than our aluminum hood making it very ironic...

(now true all carbon fiber would be something else, but yeah a lot of $$$ if you could even find someone to make it for us.)

What goes good on a dark blue maxima? I'm looking at a metallic vinyl sheet for the hood, & maybe the roof. (Nothing on the trunk wouldn't look right with the 07 08 dark blue spoiler.)

What do you use to cut the film around the moonroof without scratching the paint on the hood, or anywhere along the edges for that matter?

Who did your yellow calipers in the signature? I like it a lot. Would like to do mine in gold if I knew who could do it if I supplied the materials. With cleaning the calipers properly, & 3 to 4 coats of paint per wheel, plus drying time it must be a lot of money in labor/time. Who would do this type of project?

i agree man those hoods arent no way 100% CF, i saw one in person and its really imperfect, screw spending hundreds of dollars on a hood that has uneven edges and surfaces, most of the ones i have seen have problems closing bc the latch is not even with the hood lock, thats a pain in the *** to adjust it to close properly

First off to address the CF hood, no they are not 100% carbon fiber, I don't think anyone ever said they were, and yes they are a bit heavier than our aluminum hood. Def more of a look, especially on our cars (and mine lines up and closed perfectly...)

As for the vinyl, there's so much to be done/explored with this. Get creative guys! I have the roof and hood overlays from Bat, and yes he's really hard to get a hold of...

Here's a pic of my hood and roof:
