100000 miles wow!!

Hi everyone, just wondering how many of the 100000 mile club got there without automatic transmission problems? Are most members of this elite club driving a manual transmission?

You hear so much about the auto trans problem that I wonder if it is just blown out of proportion? Are any of these cars modified very much?

Thanks
Walter

Oowe I feel the agony ahhhh it hurts just to look at that. I alway thought this color was the best. Just preference I know, but it appeared very classy to me.

Mines auto. True its a bit wacky sometimes selecting a lower gear than it should on kick down but basically sound. changed the box fluid twice since new.

I have a 5-spd Auto and so far no issues. Transmission fluid was changed at 30k and 60k. After the 70k mark I got into the practice of simply exchanging out 1 qrt of ATF at every other oil change. That's probably overkill, but who cares as long as it keeps running like new.

121,000 and never a single problem. A weird jingleing noise when braking every once in a while but that's it.

Past 200k now

Here we go 200,000 miles

Just went in for split AC hose and came out with two new seals on the drive shafts as well... One was leaking apparently

I have not had any tranny issues. 125k now and only had to do a steering rack in addition to scheduled mx and brakes and tires.

105k for my 04 SE. I love this car, and it has had no major issues besides routine maintenance and common trouble spots. It still purrs like the day I bought it. Tranny doesn't shift quite as smooth at times, but that's to be expected. I'd buy another one in the future, but it won't be my next car.

I had only one problem - pin hole in my clutch line just after it turned 100k. Installed it myself for under $20.

2004 SE 142,000+ miles.. I'll take a pic and post soon.. auto trans was replaced around 98,000 miles.. she still acts a little querky.. might be the motor mounts.. love her though and hope I can run her to 250k miles.. car doesn't even look old which is great

I hit 100k on Christmas Eve 08. Currently almost at 150k, had the car since June 03. Spent a lot of time commuting from NY to NJ, so that racked me up quickly. Only real transmission problem was when the sensor went a few months ago, other then that some cooling system parts and motor mounts but nothing else really huge.

I have never had a car for this long because I get bored or they end up being money pits. As for the Max, not bored still love it and now my kids are the money pits but not the Max!!!

100,000 plus

Hello All,
I have 145,200 on my 2004 Max. I got it in 2003 with 124 miles. I haven't had any major problems yet. I would like for someone to tell me where the oil cooler is. ( Because I have a small leak from the seal) Also any links on how to replace drive belts.

I appreciated your help.

Thanks,
Chris

Great to know the car will go 200,000 plus miles. I'm looking to keep it in the family until the wheels fall off...

I just turned 308,000 miles on my 07 maxima picture comming up.. Fresh syn oil every 4700 miles and full blown greddy exhaust motor tho was replaced at 80000 becuase i dont know why torn it down and i spun the bearings it still ran just sounded awful.. but it was worth it out running a 07 mustang gt..
