05 with 241,493 miles

repairs to date - all done in my garage - except for a few fixes:

changed all engine mounts (2014)
Changed tranny oil (2014) and once per year
replaced front passenger window motor (2014)
replaced front and rear valve cover seals (2014)
replaced front and rear struts / shocks (2013)
replaced all rotors and pads (2013)
replaced passenger front outer drive axle (2014)
replaced sway-bar, tie rods, control arm (2013)
replaced belts (2013)
Steeler-replaced the butterfly intake as I tried to clean it manually (2012)
KnN air filter recharge every 6 months
replaced spark-plugs (2013)
Valve body (2012 - by uncle tranny shop)
All catyl (2012 at muffler shop)
Engine oil change every 3K miles (almost 1 / month)

At this much miles, yet to flush brake lines, radiator coolant - one day I will.

And she still runs great except burning oil (add 1 qrt oil every 1700 miles). Want to take her to 400K.....

New to forum today.

Was thinking of trading in car but think I want to make some repairs and get a couple more years out of it.

Have had one leaking AC line and brakes as far as issues to date.

I believe I need bearings as I have started to hear metallic rubbing when turning. Loud road noise too.

Front end lifts excessively on mild acceleration. Bounces on stop. Struts and shocks have been replaced within 1-2 years, thinking motor mounts?

Just chiming back in with an update - way over 100k...
Well, my 2003 6 speed is still going strong! I replaced the clutch - original clutch, mind you, at 225k. No, that's not a joke or misprint. I still had life in it, too, but the pedal was getting pretty low on shifts. Replaced the power steering hose at 180k. Other than that, general maintenance.

As of today, I'm at 267,321 miles.

Hell of a car.

Impressive

I'm guessing you dont drive it very hard and always stay on top of your maintenance though.

Wish I was that disciplined with mine...Im at 135k now and finding it hard keeping up with stuff needing replacement. Must be my driving habits and lack of doing scheduled maintenance on time.

Bought mine in June with 187,xxx. Currently has 195,419. Nearly perfect inside and out. Everything works (except sunroof) My friend has an 05 Sentra SER Spec V, with 40,000 miles, header, larger throttle body, coldair intake, etc. We have raced from red light to red light, rolling starts, 65mph, and he cant pull me in any scenario. Its always me by a fender. Pretty good for a car that has nearly been to the moon. However, the timing issue is a biggie. didnt make a sound till I insured, tagged and put it into service as my only vehicle. Now it rattles on start, between shifts and under deceleration in gear. With the miles on it, it seems senseless not to replace everything related to the timing while its apart. Like the car, hate the color, love the surprise when people dismiss it as just a light brown sedan. The 6 speed, perfect leather, and a Z engine (almost) are why i bought it. Now I dont know if its worth the cost of repairing the timing system. I can barely get a flashlight between the strut tower and the cover. So, not doing it myself. Have a garage but not enough time, tools or patience. The Nissan dealership in Asheville NC wants $4040 for parts and labor. Anyone else trustworthy is in at around $2500.

Quote: I don't know how you guys do it. I mean you guys are averaging 16500 miles a year. That's 320 miles a week or 45 miles a day. That is rediculous. That is about $1786 in gas a year with 28mpg average and at $3 a gallon. That's $34 a week in gas or about $5 a day in gas. I mean let's be serious for a minute that's a lot of miles guys. I drive everywhere and I am just a little above 75k miles.
Everytime I drive to a location, I end up circling at the end for anywhere from 5 - 30 minutes. Every lunch break, 30 minute cruise. Head back home and spend and extra hour taking the windy, scenic route.

I really wish I could save petrol but how addicting is it sticking to the line and blasting around corners with the smooth and torquey CVT 3.5ltr Nissan baby

Then again every car I have owned has been the same.

Got my 08 SL in January with around 92k. Just went over the 100k mark. Getting a pretty low 17mpg - I need to replace my o2 sensor (Getting a p0151 code). Hopefully that will get me better mileage.
Until the o2 sensor issue started it had been driving well. Now it feels like it's struggling to breathe sometimes and when it finally does, the thing takes off.

I'm researching which o2 sensor to purchase.
the other thing that I want to do now is a little tune up. So new plugs and coils.

Anything else I ought to be doing?
