The 100,000 mile Club thread
damn after seeing everyones posts i don't feel so bad! im happy to be hitting the 100k team! my max has 95765 Transmission replaced at 62k(thank goodness i had warranty) no other engine issues! its sitting in a shop right now since my stereo was stolen on the 23. im waiting to post what happened to i will make a thread when i have enough posts.
111,374 miles. Just had transmission rebuilt at 111,124 and 3rd to 4th takes a little too long to shift now. AAMCO said take it back after 10 days and I read something about the ECM needing to get its memory back so give it 500 miles. Is this normal breaking in or do I need to leave it at AAMCO?
105411 here.
Need to put some new struts and rotors on. Has anyone else put their own struts on? Only done normal shocks on my other cars. Also have a fuel smell coming from the engine compartment every so often. Think it may be the EVAP. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks.
Just hit 100k yesterday.
Already on my second trans, had timing chains and guides done at like 85k (warranty), had one rear spring replaced (again, warranty), a fuel pump replaced (thats cause I unplugged the computer and turned the ignition on, but hey it was warranty!), had most of the front of the exhaust just after the manifold replaced (warranty), and thats about it.
I just ripped off my chrome roof strips and just finished painting the right side one wrinkle black, should come out pretty good. I really need to drop this thing, I cant stand the airplane taking off look anymore.

Thats right Im about to hit 200k...love this car its been great...only done tune up and regular maintenance aside from that i changed the some minor suspension stuff...HOWEVER now I have the popular P0420 code...and from what I have been reading its common....
Now i know everyone has an opinion on this, but I just gotta know what do I need to buy to fix this? lowest possible cost please?

99500.................not to much longer.
So far we have: installed the transgo kit, several wheel bearing replacements, two sets of brakes - needs the third, several sets of tires, and one a/c line. Hopefully we will get alot more trouble free miles out of it.

WOW! some high mileage 6th gens in here. makes me a bit confident in having one and expecting a long life w/ minor issues considering keeping it maintaned. im in a 08 w/ 17,500k..... i need to start driving more! lol
I have an 08 SE I bought my wife last year with 48,00 and now she has 70,000 on it we also have an 02 GLE with 208,000 bought in 03 with 27,000 and only have replaced power steering line and radiator and it still drives and shifts like new the 08 however just had to replace the alternator master fuse on batt and somehow it fried my sterio so if anyone has a 07-08 factory radio pm me still love it though
You guys have helped me tremendously with my car. Love this site!! I have a 02 SE 6MT with 168,XXX miles. After 100K work include the following:
106K Drive Belts replaced
116K Tune up
117K Master & Slave Clutch Cylinder repair
131K High Pressure power steering Hose
149K New Radiator and I changed the Top Hose
159K Catlytic Converter Bank 1
160K Replaced Thermostat
162K E brake cables, rear caliper and brake job
She rides like a champ still but, now my Oil cooler is starting to leak, the oil pan is leaking and the inner CV joints are leaking grease.

100,000 Miles
I am happy to say I just crossed the 100,000 mile mark and no major issues, tranny is good, has a hiccup once in awhile but the engine is sound. Just had the plugs replaced and a coolant flush, just has a rough idle.... dont know what to do. I hope to get another 150,000 mile from her.
161,000 kms
Just reached 100,000 miles (161,000 kms) the other day! Second transmission...this one is has toughed 36k miles just under 60k Kms.
Had to change the transmission fluid return hose and the coolant line as both connectors were severely rusted out!
Did only 5K kms this winter so far....really low since November. Next oil change will be the spring one. Every spring it's a real huge job to clean this car inside and out but man it looks great...right out of the showroom still! Better last a year more till the new 8th Gen Maxima! By then I'll be ready to change again.

you US guys have a different dash, but still lots of orange lights. Also, in Australia they only have auto's no manual maximas. I have got 140k on my maxima, which i about 86k miles. Hopefully it keeps going for another 100k.
I sure wish whoever had my car before did maintanence like you guys do. I love my 04 maxima even kinda like the granny gold color lol. But it has been beat up and treated bad, catching up on routine stuff. Has 105xxx on it and still blows the doors off the Hondas lol!

wheres the 200k club?
