got one....love it...if you live up north the welds will discolor pretty quick in the winter...just came out of this past winter and everything still is shining...no cabin drone...not ricey at all. Bout to get the headers/y-pipe 3-piece from the altima se-r. Only code you should throw should be the second o2...this doesnt control anything though..just pick up the simulator and the code will be clear.

Its impossible to get the Infiniti sound. They tune the engine and exhaust to make that sweet sound. You cant get that by throwing on a muffler or even catback.

Most people will be happy with the ebay exhaust as you get a decent sound for around $200.

I got tired of the sound...and the car for that matter lol

I see. You would think being their brothers, and probably the same motor, they would sound the same.

The VQ35 in the Max and Alti are tuned to be quieter and more fuel efficient and even less powerful than their Infinti counterparts, which use more aggressive tuning

Question and new to this

This is the first forum I have ever joined and the first post as well. I have an 07 3.5 SE and just installed a Injen Cold Air Intake. I am wanting to upgrade the mass airflow sensor. I found one for right under $100.00 (Jet MAF). does anyone know if this is a good one? Or any suggestions?

I also want to upgrade my mufflers on my car and found some at Advanced Auto Parts http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...E_P%7CGRP2023P____

Any recommendations? I thought about the Flow masters but I have been told that they are so loud that they are annoying. Any thing you pro's could through my way I would greatly appreciate it.

Are there any chips or cpu upgrades that can help with making the max more aggressive on the tuning?

i have converted to this exhaust also one thing is that it fit super tight and it did not line up good with the back bumper meaning the slots for the mufflers tips i had to cut it out a lil bit and then they still ended burning and melting the bumper but im actually doing this thing with my buddy that does carbon fiber he is gonna make and mold me up a rear carbon fiber diffuser like the black peice on the 07 maxs so i will show you pics when its done to see if yo guys like then ill if everyone is intrested ill see if he wants to make a bunch

If it really is stainless steel like they claim it to be, then it can't rust dude.

From my knowledge only parts of most exhaust systems are true 202 or 304 stainless steel. The flanges are usually made of mild steel which has more chance of rusting.

Well unless a car stays garaged all the time and never sees rain, it will have some sort of surface rust , even the high end mufflers will, that just physics.

I've had mine for a few years now....still mint and sounds great. If its a little off, don't cut the bumper, just adjust the hanger....that's what its there for.

e-Bay exhaust question

For those of you who bought this exhaust system, did it improve performance any or is this simply a purchase to improve exhaust note/looks? I was wanting to swap out my exhaust to improve performance and this is amazingly cheap...but not worth it if I only get improved sound.

Thanks for the input!
