Ebay exhaust

I saw this catback exhaust on ebay and wanted to know if anyone has this setup. If so how do you like it? Im going to and a ypipe when I install this setup, will it throw any codes?

That looks like a copy of the GReddy SRP2 that I have. I love mine, it bolted right up and the sound is great, although that resonator section definitely looks smaller than mine which will probably make it sound 'ricey.' I would definitely recommend the Y-pipe, Cattman is best but Racingline is good and alot cheaper. Also with just a cat-back and y-pipe you are not gonna throw any codes. Now you can get a catless y-pipe and delete one of your 3 cats which gives you more power, BUT if you are gonna do the headers later, you might wanna get the y-pipe with the cat so you have less of a headache with SES when you put the headers on. I think Cattman recommends lengthening the wires and installing 2 O2 sensors on the y-pipe downstream of the cat to get the codes to go away when headers are installed. I have heard about people using O2 simulators and also unfowlers(I think that is what they are called) that space the sensors farther out of the exhaust stream, both ways are supposed to trick the ECU.

IMO you get what you pay for. But for less than 200 bucks this could be worth it, my GReddy was around 700. Heck the diff in price there would almost pay for some Cattman headers

Tsmall resonator will not make it sound ricey, I have no resonator and it sound good except a small drone at 80 but nothing too annoying. I say get it, if anything, you cut those mufflers out and get some Magnaflows or Cattmans like I got and will sound nice.

Why would anyone spend over 500 on exhaust when you can get custom made, mandrel bend for under 500 and sound really nice?? You're just paying for the name. Here is my Cattman with Fujita CAI and no resonator.

Well it was $800 total (parts\labor).. The adrenaline started pumping and I wanted something NOW!! Didn't use my head..(curse of the newb), and now the wife is upset with me because of the 'drone' lol!!

I'll have to check out your clip when I get home, it's blocked at work.

Get a big resonator like from Magnaflow, that will take care of the drone. I have a drone but only at around 80mh and it's not too bad. The exhasusounds deeper in person then on the video.

People have been pretty happy with the eBay exhaust from what I've seen. I'd get it, and order a pair of Vibrant 1148s and replace the mufflers it comes with. You will get a much deeper, richer tone.

Not trying to thread hijack, but does a bigger res increase restriction? Come to think of it, the drone might keep my wife from driving my car so much!

So long as the red has the same inlet/outlet diameter, you are fine. "Bigger" resonators will have a larger outside diameter with more sound-deadening material.

Sounds like u can't beat it for the price!!!

The only other thing I don't like is the tips. I wonder if dual tips could be put on to match the stock ones???

Not lout at all. I was at a light and heard something coming from a coffee can. Thought it was me and I almost cried. I was glad it was the civic next to me. I got mine off of ebay for $200. No complaints and it could always be worse. I could be sounding like that civic.

if you dont like drone then just install the stocks back on. i paid $600.00 for the cattman mufflers and by the 3rd day i sold them for 250 because i could not take the drone anymore. those ebays are really quiet compared to the magnaflows ive heard so far

Would it be possible to buy the cat back, and put different mufflers on it? I want to change the exhaust, but I like the dual tips.

got this exhaust last week, sounds nice, toned but quiet. when decelerating or downshifting the popping is nice. Looks good although, might paint the rear part of the muffler black (not the tip) just because it really makes it look a little ricey, if I did that it would kinda sorta look like a slightly bigger version of the G35 coupe exhaust. Otherwise happy with it, everything fit good and I had people at my dealer look at it they couldnt BELIEVE i got it for 200 shipped, all the welds are very neat, metal is shiny built well, comes with all hardware, its A STEAL.

the resonator on the exhaust is very tiny compared to what you can fit on there. if you don't like the drone, put a much bigger resonator on it

im gonna disagree with you on this because i just had cattman mufflers with the stock resonator which is the biggest compared to aftermarket and the drone was horrible

i dont have any experience with the cattman mufflers but i do have this exact ebay exhaust installed. the resonator on the ebay exhaust is tiny and could definitely cut down some of the noise if upgraded on this particular system
