Grounding kits
Grounding kits
Recently I installed a Grounding kit. When I grounded the engine, it went from a normal tick to a rapid ticking. Is that good or bad? Someone told me it may have gained a few rpm's. I have no idea and was wondering. It drives the same but I only noticed the normal tick went to a rapid tick. Also, the grounding wires from the engine to the chassis got loose due to vibration. Will it do any harm if the wires are just hanging there? I tighten them again but I'll have to check them all the time.
Probably one of the most important additions for you car. Keeping a completely grounded system is the key to electronics working properly. Think of it like a stereo system. Sure your speakers will work with any ground, but if you use a higher gauged ground you will get better results. Try using a 16 guage ground wire for a subwoofer setup. Crank up the volume, then change to a 4 guage ground wire. You will see a huge difference. Our cars allready come with a grounding system, however certain things are not grounded as good as they could be.
No. I made my own but followed Racinglines online install directions...

Wal-Mart sells battery connector cables. They look exactly like above ground wires kit. They sells for $3.50 a cable with the length from 20" to 51" two to six gauge wires. Just in case anyone is looking for cheap and handy option.
slightly to long ... and the longer the cable the more unclean the ground actually is :/
