Did a couple things to the Max- Pics

Just did a couple of things to the car, Painted the headlights, Put 6000k HID's, adjusted the headlights (they were aiming too low since I lowered the car), put the home depot lip! Before you guys flame me on the lip, Its only temporary, I want to do the 07-08 swap, and it still needs a little work. Over all tho I really like the way it came out. The headlight covers are not in the best shape and It's screaming for the C-MOD grill but one step at a time. Really want to paint the roof black too let me know what you think

hey we all started stock at one point with that being said I think the lip doesn't look bad with the color of your car and the darker headlights now. Got any closer pictures of the headlights?

You did a good job. Not to many members workin with that color. Headlights look good. You should black out the grill and cover the roof strips.

Thanks fellas, I do want to black out the roof and the strips. As for the grill I want to get the C-MOD grill and eventually do the 07-08 swap.

ok, im totally against those hideous lips. ur bumper is not a garage door. its a bumper. they serve absolutly no purpose. they look terrible. even if its temperary. i could see if they were supposed to protect ur bumper, but ur not even close to being slammed, and hide it.

on a positive note: +1 on the rims.

blow dryer, rag, label remover spray, and a plastic scrapper (use VERY lighty)

then once ur done, wax or hand glaze the section.

Can you just give the car a wash after debadging?

If something were to go wrong with this process what are the negative side effects?? and if it did go wrong would they be able to be put back on??

once u rip em off its pretty much done. the only thing that would go wrong is scratching the paint off. i wouldnt just wash it, because those eblems have been on since 2004ish and there will def be marks left (outlining the emlems) which the wax will take out.

here: looks so much cleaner.

Thanks brother, headlights took a couple of hours, by the time I took them out, heated them, took them apart, painted them, then put everything back together I'd say about 5 hours. I also did the HID's at the same time. I did it in two days, taking my time cuz I didn't want to mess anything up. Getting a little water in my left headlight now so I gotta take the headlights out again!
