Evap after mods to maxima?

Today I installed Kinetix IM and nwp spacers and I notice that I had a "EV" icon on my code reader and no error codes. But those mods didn't cause the code since I used the reader before and after the install, and I got the code both times. I'm thinking it was cus you had to delete one vacuum hose when you installed the VIAS block plate(stock IM) right? So my questions is are there any side affects to completely remove the vacuum hoses that are connected to the canister since there no place to add them to the Kinetix IM?

If you followed Aaron's directions regarding what to do with the hoses, you should be fine, and the VIAS vac system wouldn't cause an EVAP code. Do you have the actual code #?

Yup. EVAP canister & related codes typically come back to either the gas cap deal or a broken/cracked EVAp canister.
