Happy memorial day.............What a way to start my day.This morning as I was on my way to work my car just freaks out on me and cuts off while I'm on the interstate and i almost get smashed by an 18 wheeler trying to pull over to the side.I cut my car off and it didn't start.After attempting for about 10 minutes it finally started,but my dash wasn't working,a few lights came on,its dim and my ac and blinkers don't work.I'm very confused on what the hell happened and guessing its an electrical problem.As I'm driving to go drop it off at my garage some a little smoke came from behind the steering wheel and speedometer and smelled like it fried something.Does anyone have any idea on what the hell happened or what the problem can be?Thanks

 

When was the last time you or someone done work on your car? Maybe you should start there first.

 

well I had the car for almost a year and it never gave me any problems......the only time I bought the car to the shop was for oil change and alignment...the car is 2006 and the lights that came on my dash are slip(never heard of it before)traction control off,abs,and brake light!

 

wow that is a new one I never heard of. good luck on this and keep us posted. The consult 3 tool should find your problem. word of advice, if car takes 10 minutes of continuous tries to start, might not want to drive it. especially after it shutting off on the highway.

 

Well I bought it to the shop and come to find out that my speed sensor went out on my and that's what cause the odometer to go out.
