Ipod Bluetooth

Ipod Bluetooth
Has anyone tried to connect their ipod to their maxima using the bluetooth? I don't have my car currently or else I'd try it but I was using my bluetooth to my computer to play music through the speakers and it crossed my mind. What if we could wirelessly connect the ipod touch to the car with bluetooth. If anyone has tried it let me know?

Technically speaking, it should work, but I'm not sure.
If you can connect your phone through bluetooth and use the speaker phone while driving, then you should be able to listen to music. I wish I had bluetooth!

You probably won't want to, as its a different Bluetooth "language", and it's mono. The old Bluetooth our Maxes use cant carry a decent bitrate for quality sound either. You are better off hardwiring an aux port if you don't have one, or just getting an FM tuner for your iPod.

I have tried to connect my Iphone 3GS to the cars bluetooth system with no luck for playing music. It connects for conversations, but there isn't software the supports music playback. Even if it did it wouldn't be that great of quality as the bluetooth is setup to only play out of one of the front speakers, and not the whole stereo system. Hope this helps!

QUESTION: I updated my 3gs to 4.0 and I'm finding that my standard ringtone on my bluetooth when I'm connected is that of the ringtone on my phone. I liked the variety and want to change it back to the one I had before. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

You can't use bluetooth for an ipod..................only an iphone. But, in order to use the ipod you would either have to use an FM tuner of some sort. Don't know if there's an auxiliary connection like there is in a 6.5 though.....good luck.

Answered my own question, just re-pair the phone and you get the car ringtone back.

My Kenwood plays stereo bluetooth audio through it. It's pretty cool to be able to get in the car and listen to music without connecting it to any wires, but the iPod connection that the head unit has sounds a TON better than bluetooth.
