Progress spring install/pics

Wassup fellas, finally got my 15 post count out of the way.

I have a stock 06 Maxima, 6speed manual, and tossed some Progress springs on the stock struts the other evening. 46k miles on the car. The car rides great with the new springs. Here are a few pics. Looking for a nice catback, grille, and a cold air intake of some sort.

Before..

Few after shots..

The Progress springs are a lowering spring. Lowered the car and gave it a more agressive ride. Couldn't be happier...

The paint actually needs attention. Going to order some polishing products soon and hit It with the porter cable.

Looks good! I'm looking into some B&G Lowering Sport Springs, they seem pretty legit. Has anyone else here purchased anything from CustomMaxima.com??

IMHO I would stay away from B&G - I did tons of research before getting my springs and have read a few things about B&G that did not make me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside....

I currently have Progress and KYB GR2's and am super satisfied with the set-up and how they perform on the track and street.

As for CustomMaxima, never dealt with them so I'm not sure bud.
I dealt with Justin from ImportCarPartsPlus.com and was very happy with the price and shipping time frame.

Ahh where can I find these Progress Springs?

Gotcha, I was just curious because I just purchased my Catback exhaust system from them, and when that's installed, they have a great looking AEM CAI system too. So I was hoping someone from this forum has dealt with them before.

I just ordered my progress springs yesterday, I was told I should get an alignment after they're installed. How well do the sway bars work? How noticeable? I was just looking at some.

The ride is stiffer, but feels great. It's not like its harsh. Get them, you'll love them.

Another shot.

Looks great. I found a set of those wheels local forsale and was trying to picture what they'd look like on my car. You solved that for me. 1 question though. Are you sure that's an 06? The rear end looks like an 05 and I thought 05 was the last year for the 6 speed.

Gapidous reduction.....Great! Progress knows how too make a comfortable lowered spring, that handles as well! Good choice!

Looks good! I had Progress on my '04 when I had her.

As for your other mods...

Exhaust: You could go a few routes... Cattman which uses Magnaflow mufflers, the eBay Greddy SP2 knockoff (I still question the longevity in colder climates with snow/salt), or a full custom (with which I would highly suggest a pair of flat black Vibrant mufflers - #1148):

http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...products_id=51

I originally had a Greddy SP2 system, and when I installed Cattman headers, it changed the exhaust tone for the worst... very raspy and I hated it. So I cut off the resonator and added a bigger Magnaflow one, and also cut off the mufflers and added the Vibrants. I loved how it sounded.

After:

Grille? Up to you. So many options.

Intake. R2c. 'Nuff said.

To whom it may concern: Progress Springs are backordered right now at importcarpartsplus.com. They said mine should ship on the 18th.

Hey did you have any problems getting your spring compressor to relax all the way when removing the old springs?

Also, what all was involved in doing the rears? Any info would be a big help. I just found out that importcarpartsplus.com found a set in an offsite warehouse that they are sending my way, so I plan to install them next weekend.

Thanks

JB
