Halos...Finally done.

Headlights finally done.Been busy lately with family n stuff, but managed to put some time and finish this headlight mod.Did too many mods while opened, including amber leds all along the sidemarkers, neons.audi r8 style leds on bottom along headlight and much more. Here's some pics of what i took while doing the project

this pic shows the amber leds drilled on white side reflector, white halos(cant be seen well cuz they're too bright),and the neon light on front(got rid of that too)

This one shows just the neon i got rid off.It was looking good but not as bright as the halos so...cool mod but it came off. Also the turning signal cover is smoked so it can match the projectors. Also when I painted it,I didnt want it all black so you can see in this pic some carbon fiber vinyl(to match my grille),black flat paint(it looks better flat than glossy in my opinion),and the stock chrome I decided not to touch it(to give it a bit of a look of everything and to stand out)

Here is a pic of one done and a stock one

Recent ant last mod.and already installed.Took the neon out and installed some white leds inside the fog housing

Night shots...

NOTE.As you can see the stock parking light is not even on at all.Thats because i cut the wire that goes there and hooked it up with everything you see in there.so my parking lights are my halos, white leds on the fog housing and the amber leds on white sidemarker.Hope this will help othe maxima owners for some ideas of that they want.

Looks good!!! But, is both your headlights covered with vinyl?? I wouldn't recommend that because of the heat that builds inside of the headlights. Also, it looks like only one is painted.

I have a friend of mine that does business in China.Supposedly they the same high quality as one website that sells the Maxima halos for $199.00.I payed $70.00 for a complete set of halos,$15.00 for the leds inside the fog light housing, and I think $10.00 for the amber leds on a side marker

The harness that goes on the side marker socket has 3 wires.Blue, red and green/orange stripe.Green/orange stripe was the one I had to cut.Now this colors are on factory hid headlights equipped,it doesnt mean it will not change on regular halogen ones.Your best bet is to get a test light that has a sharp tip(like a needle).Turn on your parking lights and poke the wires, when the test light turns on you know what wire you have to cut

Lol.I can guide you step by step. Its a little frustrating but patience it all you need.If not,you can buy a pair of headlights and shipe them,or ship your current ones to me and I'll do the work for you, including taping all the wires together for a clean look so all you'll need to do is just plug them to your stock harness and voila

Idk if you mean the inside the housing or the headlight lens.If you talking about the inside of the headlight,yeah...that is textured carbon fiber vinyl that is made by 3M and it looks real. And its one of the best vinyl i've ever used.Glue sticks perfectly...I had them on for a 3 weeks and the temp here has been above 105...vinyl's still there. Also my grille has the same vinyl and it confronts wind, rain, sun, presure washer for a year already and nothing happened to it.As far as the paint, you mean on that pic where 2 headlights sit next to eachother?if yeah then..as you can read on the posting before the pic,I mentioned that theres one finished headlight next to a stock one

Damn that looks amazing! I wish that could be done to stock 4th gen headlights, my 5.5 will be getting a similar upgrade soon.

Not sure if I'm digging the LEDs in the fog housing, honestly. But that's just personal taste. Maybe if it was a solid strip of lights? Idk.

Halos look good, though. Much, much better on the 6th gens than they do on the 5.5s, IMO.

Well, I wasn't trying to bash you on your mod on anything. I personally think it looks good but vinyl isn't made to stand that type of abuse for long periods of time like a year for example. Anyways, if anything goes wrong than I guess that you could always re-open your headlights and replace the vinyl or paint it.

Lol.I had my ride for almost 2 yrs and believe me..since day one i was searching and looking for aftermarket lights, stores and internet. They told me that the 6th gen headlights are patented and no one will ever make them. You cant find an aftermarket pair nowhere, unless if you open up yours or buy another pair and do them yourself or you can ship them to me and i'll do the work for you

Thank you.Theres bunch of aftermarket headlights/halos for 4th and 5th gen no?
If you want something custom I can help you with that

I first put the strip there but it wasnt as bright as the halos.I coudnts even see the strip if its on on daylight so i took it off.The reason I came up with the leds in the fog housing was because i still wanted some touch of light light there when parking lights are on so it can show the whole shape of the headlight.

Lol,thanks bro.But I like the way they look good on a 5.5 gen too.I think they're bada**...

I didnt even take it that way bro.Just was trying to explain what vinyl is it.Well this graphic shop had that same vinyl and i asked them the warranty i'll get if i do my hood or the interior. They said that outdoors can keep up to 2 yrs.and interior up to 5..but i'll have to live it to prove it.But as you said...if it messes up I can always re-open it and fix it or paint it

I really like what you have done. You should buy a couple of oem sets and try out different layouts and sell them. Im pretty sure a lot of members wouldnt mind swapping.

You could just go to the dealership and buy the bulb and install it yourself.
