Yes what are you comparing the Maxima too? If it's current year vehicles they do have more horsepower than our 6th gen and way more than our 6.5 like the Accord who has 265hp but it still doesn't rival our 7th gen.

Are you old enough to use the Internet without parental permission? That's got to be one of the most juvenile thread starting posts I've ever seen...

Where do you draw this conclusion from, a 2fast 2furious movie trailer? Not that I disagree with you, I'm just curious what you're comparing the 6th gen to, because there aren't a lot of cars at or below it's price range during those model years that have much more power...

Quick google search revealed that the 07 Camery, although with 268 HP is still only slightly faster 0-60, 6.2 to 6.3 of the Maxima 255 HP. The Camry comes with two engine options (a 4 cylinder), yet all Maximas are created equal.

The Avalon is higher priced then the Maxima I'm pretty certain, yet has the same motor/HP/and 0-60 time as the Camry; which I find hard to believe since it should be a few hundred pounds heavier then the Camry.

As to the Accord, it only had 244 hp, so it's already lesser of a car by your HP standards...yet costs as much as a Max when fully loaded.

You're talking about 25 HP difference between these cars, and Maxima is in the middle of the 4 of them. Only 14 hp below the top of your list yet it still performs as well if not better then those on your list. Note also, only the Avalon can actually compare its base model interior luxury to the Maxima, as the accord and Camry base models look like tin cans inside.

Anything else you'd compare this car to would be $10-20,000 more, so of course it's unfair to compare.

Any other cars you want to mention?

Ford Taurus, 263, the buick LaCrosse was 240. The Lucerne was 275, but again, I think it is priced higher then the max. After that it's Lincoln's, Acura, Infinity, Lexus, BMW...yeah, the Maxima may not have been the tops in that year, but it wasn't a scrub by any means...

To be honest, only one car in that price range that comes to mind with a crap load of ballz was the G8 GT V8, but that didn't come out until 2008...I believe with incentives at the time it was priced right around where a fully loaded Max would have been...upwards of $36-40,000.

Anyway, we through here yet, or can you think of something substantial and back it up?
