On the ride home tonight my driver side headlight (HID) flickered then went out all together. Before I jump off and order a bulb is there any way that you guys now of to make sure it is just the bulb and not some other electrical or Hid issue that I am unaware of? Thanks in advance

You don't...switch around components from your passenger-side system to determine faulty part(s).

I have a high and low beam that just went out (opposite sides). I went to a local Autozone thinking I can just change it myself. Ive had the car for years and no lights ever went out so I never realized how expensive these lights are. $129.99 at Autozone for just the bulb (each)??? I almost fell over!

Does anyone know where to order these cheaper, and should I change both high and low beams so one won't look dimmer than the other?

I aggree with terrentius.take off the hid bulb from the opposite side carefully(DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB WITH UR FINGERS)and try it on ur drivers side. Most likely is the bulb.I haad that same problem with my aftermarket fog hid's and it came out to be the bulb.

Ebay.but it wont be as bright as the oem(4300k).I bought some OEM replacement aftermarket 6000k,and couldnt see that much at night. It was not the color but the brightness of the bulb.I took a pic daytime against my garage door with drivers side OEM hid and that 6000k replacement on pass. side.Cant find the pic but it was clearly noticeable on the pic that only the drivers side was on.Like i had no light on the pass. side at all.
Again try ebay, but find someone that guarrantees it'll be as bright as the OEM,so if its not you can return it

Sounds to me like it was the quality of the bulb you bought, 6k should be brighter than stock and I have 8k and they are bluer but still bright...

Don't go cheap when buying bulbs, you'll regret it later (or just after you install them like UniqueMax)

I forgot to thank you jsmithsole... I ended up getting them from the site you suggested and they're perfect; didn't pay nearly as much as I was quoted at Autozone... so thank you thank you thank you for saving me $$!
