headlight issue

recently i changed the bulbs. i have the stock hids. the right side keeps on turning off. it'll work sometimes. left side is fine. i rechecked the plugs to make sure they're tight and everything seems fine. before i even put the bumper back on i checked to see if it works and it does. driving later on, it doesn't work. wtf.

Okay...well, if I were you, I would start by dropping the bumper and switching stuff (bulbs/ballast) around to see I can narrow down the issue. If the problem follows to the left side, then you will know it is a bulb/ballast issue rather than a wire issue. Then I would switch either bulb or ballast with the right side to narrow it down again. Obviously, this is gonna take some time but at least it is your labor and not some mechanics that you are paying for.

My line of thinking is that road-vibration is affecting either bulb or ballast causing intermittent operation. So, i would narrow it down and replace the part....

pretty easy. look in the diy section. drop the bumper then u have access to the headlights. remove the headlights. or if u have small hands u can do it on the car.
