XENON Bulb Replacement Advise....
Hey guys I tried doing a search before starting this thread but was unsuccessful finding the information. ANYWAY, I have a headlight out and need to replace my xenon factory bulbs. I wanted to find out the best place to buy them hopefully as there are a lot of people selling them. I don't want to buy crap bulbs if I am going to do this project to replace them. Also, I am debating on either 6,000 or 8,000 bulbs. I currently have the factory 4,300 bulbs. Any advise on that as well would be great!
Thanks!
Thanks!

1-When installing new bulbs, do not touch the glass part of the bulb with anything!
2-Aftermarket bulbs always come with a degree of f uncertainty...thus the cheaper price. If you want a sure bet, then go with factory bulbs.
3-6000k bulbs will be great if you do not live in a city, for they are quite bright and will make up for the lack of city infrastructure lighting. If you go with 8000k, then you will gain cool-factor at the expense of lighting performance.

I live in the Chicago suburbs and I really am leaning on the 8,000's. Either way there are sooo many people and companies selling them and I want the best and want them to last a long time so I don't have to dig into the car again to replace again! Thanks for your input!

I imagine one of the members will be able to tell you a brand that they have had success with. I am running 4300k from www.pilothid.com, and they have been in the car for three years now.
Anyhoo, I imgaine you will have some suggestions by the end of tonight once the boys get home from school/work.

Well since originally posting and not hearing anything else I decided to go with EFX EURO EFFECTS for my replacement bulbs. I found them on ebay and they have an excellent feedback score and guarantee their bulbs for life! They were only $29.99 shipped so I hope they live up to the hype! Anyone have any credible input on this decision??? I ended up getting the 6,000K bulbs if anyone was curious...

using 4300k bulbs from ddm tuning. got them for 25 including shipping. brighter then stock. u can try theretrofitsource.com. they have them for 50. choose from 4300k, 5000k, or 6000k. i don't really like the blue. cuts down on the output so i stick to 4300k. also u may want to try a lens swap. i just ordered me the zkw-r lens. supposed to give me a sharper cutoff and more foreground lightening.

The stock xenons are the 4300k, you are correct. If you have factory HID's then you should be able to just buy you 8,000k D2S or d2C bulbs. There are a seemingly endless amount of places to buy bulbs and I did fine on ebay myself. In my opinion I would only get the 6,000k bulbs. I tried 8,000 and it was just a bit too much for me, I know a ton of others agree, but hey it's your MAX!

Contact Maxpower for bulbs, I have 8K's and like them but they definitely are not as bright as 6k's but more blue. But my 3k fogs balance out the output..
And mvodnansky, a lifetime warranty? Interesting and good if they honor it 3 years down the road!
Just remember guys, you get what you pay for!!

LOL, yes they have a lifetime warranty and I called him on the phone before ordering. It still does not mean they are any good. Reminds me of that scene from Black Sheep when they were arguing about the "warranty" on the box. Anyway, point is they were only $25 total shipped with lifetime warranty. He had almost perfect reviews on ebay and is a power seller. If I lose it is nothing.... It's $25 bucks, who cares? But believe it that if something happens I will post it here on the .org... By the way if you research it on ebay it is the guys at EFX. I don't have a link but it will be obvious. European yada yada. Hey, if you see something interesting that I may have missed let me know. I have mine sitting on my desk waiting to be installed and they look legit. Thanks.
