HID fog needs relay?
HID fog needs relay?
Ok, so after taking apart my entire front end I blew out the LEDs I was going to place in the cornering lamps and realized the old ballasts and relay from my explorer were not compatible in my foglights (in my excitement I didnt even think to check the ballasts, I only ordered new bulbs).
So my question is now I am going to order a completely new set of HIDs (ballast and bulb) for the fog lights because I have factory HIDs in the headlights. Is a relay necessary for the fog lights or can I do a direct drop-in? And I have searched through many of the threads for how to replace the foglights but does anyone have a definitive answer? Because no matter which way I tried the foglights seem to be the hardest part to possibly reach.
Thanks in advance!

Ok plug and play sounds much better because it is a royal pain to get to those foglights. Where is the best place to mount the ballast? The ballast I have isnt digital so Im worried about the 'magnetic field'?.. because the maxima has wiring everywhere
