Aftemarket suspension and dealer warranty

I have a 2007 Maxima with 26k miles. It is lowered with Tein springs. I have that annoying sound coming from the passenger side when i go over small bumps. Do you think the dealership will cover this under warranty even though I have aftermarket parts? Will they charge me just to look at it the next time I come in for an oil change?

yes. they will charge you because it is lowered on tein. I think you should have whoever put the springs on for you take a look at it. If the spring was not set correctly, then that will cause the noise.

Yup what he said, they will look for any reason to not have to do warranty work. Plus it's not "their" problem anymore once you went aftermarket...

any parts unrelated to suspension, your warranty is intact. but with the springs you altered your suspension and they are the cause of the noise. so the dealer of course won't cover your suspension anymore... at least while those springs are on the car.

that's not extended warranty. that's the original 36k warranty. call nissan directly. mine were replaced at 10k with a newer version.

If you replace the struts do not use kyb gr2...the quality control is horrible. Your almost guarenteed to get a bad strut and have to install twice...
