Hey 6th genners, I'm just curious, does your auto tranny shift **** thread in/out like the 5.5gen one?

Reason I ask is because I'm trying to find an 07-08 piece with the chrome finish on the bottom, but my Nissan dealer can't get one with the chrome even when I provide a VIN number of a car that has the chrome.

I also tried to test-fit the 6.5gen one onto my 2003, but it looks like it doesn't even thread in, so I was just curious.

The 6.5 gens don't thread on. They use a clip to hold em on.

 

Hey Bootz, thanks for the post, I know exactly what you're talking about with those gold-coloured clips. To install, do you just push down and feel a snap, and then pull up hard when you need to take it out?
