Exhaust tone question?

Hi guys, I need a little advice reguarding the volume of my current exhaust setup. It consists of gutted precats, racingline catless ypipe, crimps taken out and magnaflow 14805's. The car sounds real mean but a little too loud at times like on a cold startup also not to mention that it reeks like gas if you walk behind the thing when its running. I have noticed real nice power gains from this setup however it is not refined enough for my wife to take to work anymore. I have considered two options which are adding a high flow cat from racingline, or just adding another resonator. Do you guys think that by adding a hfc in the ypipe it will quiet things down at all or am i going to have to add another resonator? Also will I lose anything performancewise by adding a hfc?

when running those mufflers you'll need your stock resonator and a magnaflow resonator as well to get things quiter

HFC will make it worse. Just throw another resonator on there and you're good.

Also that gas smell is probably because you're running a little rich.

the reason why it smells is because he doesn't have any cats....

and hfc's will definitely help with the tone.

I would get a high flow cat and a resonator. It will solve all your problems you addressed
