Another roof overlay post...

Some guy just quoted me $160 for the roof overlay installed. Is that reasonable or should I just buy the one from BAT? Someone on here know of a cheaper route or could help me install it if was to buy it from BAT? Oh and im in central jersey

Just an FYI, Bat's is a 2 piece overlay. If the guy who quoted you will use 1 piece, I'd go for theirs. Do you know what vinyl it is? That might come into play also.

I thought that bat had a 1 piece now. The guy that gave me the quote uses 3m and oracle vinyl.

I guess that extra $80 will save me a lot of headache.

Bat's are one piece now and I have used his stuff for years with no issues. My roof overlay lasted me for a few years and still looked good (not as good as paint but acceptable) and I took it off to get some rust fixed. And he has installers scattered around and think he has one in NJ somewhere...

I've been thinking about getting mine done in black. Found a place in San Diego that would only charge me $150 for 3M vinyl and installed.

I agree 100%. However the vinyl offers the non permanent solution that can be reversed without costing a dime extra...

Reminds me of Johnny Dangerously when they pealed the shelf paper off the car to change colors during a getaway... Talk about rice...

I paid $150 to get the top of my g35 done in a really good vinyl material. $160 isnt a bad price.. i'd go for it.

I have a white 5th Gen, I was just looking at some overlays for my car also, but im not sure how it would look on a white max, if someone has pics can you post them, because i will most definetly get it done if it looks crazy like i've seen on some pics!

What color were you thinking of getting on your black max (assumption, could be wrong)?
