Power Steering Leak

So my buddy has a 6th gen that is now experiencign so power steering fluid leakes. He tried taking it to a local mechanic which has proven to be unsuccessful. He is trying to avoid taking it to the dealer if he can just find a starting point. Has anybody experienced problems with the power steering before? Any insight would be extremely appreciated! Thanks

I had a similar problem. Someone that had the car previously didnt put the High Presure line onto the bracket at the back of the intake manifold and caused the high power line to leak at the brass fitting. If the puddle is consistant in size thats what it can be. Unfortunately the line is more then the pump so see if the leak drips from the rubber housing on high pressure line.
