Lowered my 07...now a problem,Help please

I just bought some springs and struts/shocks from a memeber here. They are Progress springs and KYB's. They appear to be in very good shape so I dont see anything wrong there,no obvious anyway.

Now,heres my problem. After I put everything on and drove the car it seems to have a strange "pull". Whats really strange is that sometimes it pulls to the left and sometimes it pulls to the right. After I make a turn the steering wheel doesnt center very well. I have to center it myself. Its a pretty strange problem. I havent noticed any noises or anything out of the ordinary.

About 2 years ago I had it lowered before. That time I had Eibachs and KYB's. The only reason I took them off was because where I was working I drove down some rough roads. I never had this problem with the Eibachs and before I put on the Progress springs it was fine as well.

Any ideas??

Yeah sounds like an alignment issue.

No I didnt align it. To be honest when I had my Eibachs on I never had it aligned either. The guy at my local shop said that an alignment on these cars is kind of a waste. He told me they could only adjust toe and not camber, is this true?

You completely changed the suspension of the car.

Get an alignment.

struts could be blown too. do you get any clicking? the top mounts could be twisted wrong, might not cause your issue but just want to be sure

I really dont think so. They appear to be in very good shape. The guy I bought them from said they have less than 1000 miles on them. Id be really surprised if that were the problem.

As far as mounting goes, on the top plate there is an "F" and Im assuming that is the front, correct.?? There is also the word "out",Im assuming that means that it should face "out" or towards the tire, correct??

I havent heard any clicking sounds though.

Put it on a charge card, pay it off later. You're destroying tires every day you drive on them...

May be you need to wait some time for new springs to settle down?

These "new" springs are actually used. I bought them from an org member who said they were about 9 months old. I followed the instructions here: http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...ions-pics.html His drop seem immediate, he doesn't mention anything about time to settle. I'm completely lost!

I took it for an alignment and it did not fix my problem. They had 3 guys trying to figure out why this was happening and they couldnt come up with anything.

Any ideas on what to try next?
