Dealer replaced IVT Solenoid Bank 1 and now engine smokes!?
Is this normal? Immediately after picking up the car from the dealer today, I smelled smoke through the vents and when I got home the engine just sat and smoked for several minutes. I drove it up to the mall and back and each time I started it, it smoked through the vents and through the hood when I parked it.
Any ideas? Unfortunately I picked the car up about 5 minutes before close and we're leaving on a road trip this Thursday morning and of course, I have work bright and early tomorrow. The stupid SES light came on once again, if it's P0011 again, I'm going to lose it. I've already paid nearly $500 to fix this problem.

Appreciate your post Tyutyunnik... NOT.
Anyways, I took it back in the next morning, they told me that oil is lost during replacement of the solenoid and it was just burning off the engine... so they cleaned it off and ensured that the oil level was correct and gasket were installed correctly, which they were - I still don't know why the smoke was making it directly through my vents though!?
Unfortunately, even after they supposedly solved the issue, the SES came back on, this time, for the code regarding the camshaft sensor, which I had already replaced myself. They replaced it under warranty plus labor and the next morning the SES returned. Now they're telling me I need to do a full engine flush and oil change. Luckily they're doing this for free, but I've already paid them $100 diagnostics, $85 for a camshaft sensor and $305 for the replacement of the IVT solenoid.
Needless to say, if the flush fixes it I'll be upset that I paid them over $500 for replacing parts that likely didn't need to be replaced. If it doesn't fix it, I'll be even more upset that I've paid them over $500 and have yet to have my issues resolved.

Document everything, everyone you spoke to (by name) and time. It may help to call nissan north america and start a file. Good luck and keeep us posted
Picked the car up today after having the engine flushed... no SES yet, BUT... driver's side rear bumper has noticeable scratches and there is a new dent in the strip along the driver's side of the windshield, not to mention they used a quarter tank of gas "test driving" the car yesterday. At this point I am so sick of visiting the dealer that I don't even want to go back. Ever.
