Just copy the IMG code then click the insert link button (it's the one on the top of the message box that looks like a globe with a paper clip in front of it) and your paste the code in there and press enter.

See:

I had the same issue when I was a newbie

This is how you can post image on maxima.org forum.

I have used photobucket.com to host (upload) image files.
You can use your choice of website to host images.

1) Login to your photobucket.com account.

2) Click on that green Upload Now button as you can see in below picture.

3) Click on Select Photos and Videos.

4) When ask for to select files to upload, navigate to the image file you want to post and click on open.
(iMAGE is the file I want to post in this forum)
This will upload the image to your photobucket.com account.

5) Now click on my My Album, second left tab from Upload Now button.
This is the place where you will see all of your uploaded image files.
Move your mouse over to the image you want to post here.
You will see four links underneath the image you have selected.
Move your mouse to the link that says Direct Link and left click there.
This will copy the link for the image you want to post here.

6) Now go to the thread/post where you type messages.
Click on that middle icon as you can see in below picture to post image.
It may also warn you about scripted window message with yellow bar.
Just right click on it and select Temporary Allow Scripted Window.

7) Now when the Explorer user Window pops-up then paste the link you have copied from photobucket.com image file (Step 5)
Now click on Ok

8) You will now see the image instead of link that you want to post in thread/post.
Click on Submit Reply.

9) There you go.....you can see image being posted in your thread/post.

That's all !!!

Thats the long way (well one extra step). Just click on the img code and paste that here directly (4th option).
