drivers seat airbag disabled.... Will it disable others?
Curious... If the drivers side airbag blew, and is now disabled... will the other airbags in the car also work?
I was in a minor accident recently and the seat airbag went off as well as curtain airbag. However if I don't replace a seat airbag, does it disable the others or?
Thanks

Any time the air bag system deploys one of the modules, then the control unit must be replaced or reset. There are several companies you can find on the internet that can take your control unit and reset it - even the dealer cannot do this. All they can do is sell you a new one. Or you can take your chances with one from a salvage car which didn't deploy anything.

sometimes, u may have to replace sensor that was hit also, in this case most likely the airbag sensor that is on the seat belt pillar, bolted on by two bolts. depending on how hard the hit. but as said, if the airbag light is on the rest will not deploy if you get hit again. careful.
replacing all airbags and damaged sensors and resetting or buying new airbag module(under the center console) is only way to get airbag warning light off(on the speedometer/instrument cluster). but best way to fix is to scan with a modus(i have if ur in NY to see what codes you have) and itll tell u exactly what needs to be replaced and fixed. Airbag module is 100% always after accident and airbag pop tho
