Best Idea?

So I got a PAC bose integration thingy so i can plug in my ipod trough an aux directly to the stock stereo. So now Ive been thinking ppl relocate the info screen down and put a screen up there. So now I've been thinking i could play videos on my ipod so I could have msic videos of all the songs i play and be watching them on the top screen and i could connect a rear cam and so on....think this is a good idea instead of getting an expensive double din?

good idea? yes and no...

yes because if it works out it will look awesome and will save you money, you can't go wrong with that...

no? because after you spend all that time putting your idea together your going to die in a horrific high speed fiery crash!!! those music videos are pretty distracting as they are usually filled with perfectly proportioned women!!

You would have two screens neither with navigation. I would do what you suggested by putting the stock info screen on the bottom but instead of just putting another screen ontop, I would figure out how to fit a double-din navi which usually have ports for video-in and rearview cams. You could find a used double din on craigslist for around $300.

Around me the local Meijer has the sweet new Pioneer model DD, I think they are asking 399.99 for it. It includes nav, and all the good stuff.
