I decided to make a brand new thread to avoid any misinformation floating around. All others were removed. Easier to just to keep track of one main thread. This pretty much covers it all.

So after making a ton of phone calls, visiting parks and evaluating…we finally selected the best option to make this happen (a lot of time went into this). The difference is the date change (July 30th, to July 31st) and the location (CT to Yorktown Heights, NY). The park we selected is FDR State Park located at 2957 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.

There were many factors into selecting this location. First is finding a park with a known car enthusiast atmosphere. We tried to aim for Saturday, July 30th but Sunday, July 31st was also last available slot for reservations at FDR State Park. Saturday was also an option but it would be like a free-for-all (no reserved picnic areas) and that is something we do not want. It’s better to have something officially reserved. We’ve already taken care of the permit out of pocket so we’ll be good to go. Everything is already confirmed and we should be receiving the permit in the mail shortly. I think we looked at a total of 10 parks in the tri-state area. Most either had high entrance costs and/or no available reservation. We are very lucky to have been able to get the July 31st spot at FDR State Park. People were already waiting to see if we would cancel to take our spot. Everything is set and picnic area is reserved.

The parking area can accommodate approx. 200+ cars. This park is known to have nice car meets so it won't be problem unlike other parks. Some parks may see 100 cars and then panic to call the police. They have grilles available but also allow us to bring our own. What makes this park great is that there are a lot of activities we can do. You don’t have to be standing around the cars for hours. The park has large open land with volleyball nets, basketball courts so it will definitely be a great time.

I really hope everyone is still on board to attend.

Food Contributions
It would be nice if some of the members can also contribute something towards the food/drinks for the BBQ. I know a few members are bringing boxes of burgers for the BBQ. We’ll have a good amount of food but we can't 100% guarantee that there will enough for everyone who comes in later on in the day. So if you can contribute something, that would be AWESOME!! Here’s an average time frame for the folks coming out-of-state:

• Rhode Island – Approx 2.5-3hrs
• Connecticut – Approx. 1-1.5 hrs
• New York City - Approx 1-1.5 hrs
• Maryland – Approx. 3.5-4 hrs

Yeah look like is going to be a lot of people there not going this year car not meets ready lol is good but not ready to show in my eyes it will be in a couple of weeks after paint job and new bumper.
