Power folding side mirror

Hi guy, where is the motor in the power folding side mirror? A car hit and broke off my side mirror and i just got it fixed with a new unit and I noticed the new one doesn't fold as fast as the old one that got hit. Please shine some light on this. Thanks!!!!!

The motor is behind the glass, right above the pivot point the mirror swings on.

I had the same issue, I would say that your new mirror is non OEM. This is the difference between a $150 mirror and a $600 mirror. I also noticed that the motor is much louder as well.

I have the same problem on my 05. It got smacked off, got it replaced at the dealer for a large amount but it is relatively slower then the mirror on the passenger side. It also has a little wiggle / play in it when it's locked into position I can wiggle it back n fourth... But all the screws are tight.
