iPod/iPhone interface kit for 2004 maxima?

I know that over the years, the iPod kit topic has been beaten to death but since it is has been a few years, I wanted to ask you guys if anyone knows of a good kit these days that will allow me to integrate my iPod/iPhone into my stereo so that I can play music and see the song information on the info screen and also control the iPod via my steering wheel controls? I know Best Buy sells a kit but they keep saying 2005 maxima. I have been wanting to add an iPod kit for years but never do it because I can never confirm that a kit will integrate properly. I'd prefer to just go to best buy, buy a kit there and have them install it. The days of me doing installs like this on my own car are gone and I just want to have someone do it for me. I just need to know what kits are available and which one will provide me with these features that I am looking for in my 2004 maxima. Any help would be great.

I have one in my 05. It's made by iSimple. I paid about $100 for it. It displays text on the screen and has steering wheel controls. I love it. It's pretty much plug and play.

Yah Best Buy has the iSimples but on the packaging it says '05 maxima and up, so when I ask the dudes at Best Buy if it will work, I get mixed answers and then I never get it done because I never get confirmation that it will work with my 04 maxima

Good luck. I'm trying to locate an intergrated system for my daughter's iphone 4 and it seems that all of the kits made are for 05 and up. I found some nice mounts from DICE and KUDA. They also offer some charging systems but I can't locate intergration into the car system. I spoke with the Best Buy guy and he did not think the $199 kit would work. It's 05 and later. I'm still looking. Right now my daughter has it pluged into her cassette player. It was a $25 quick fix.

I plan to contact diceelectronics.com later on today. They are on the West Coast. I am also looking for an interface for my daughters 04 SL. We just got it for college and I don't like her fiddling with the darn i4 when driving. Anyway. It looks like they also have a nice looking mount, the G2 and they have a couple of modules that allow a hard wired installation. The Nissan version says it's for 2005 and up but they also show a universal version. I'm going to see if there is a local Dice dealer in Atlanta that I can speak with. Don't need to drop $300 into something that doesn't work. Check out the website. It may be what you are looking for. The Best Buy version doesn't seem to be compatible. It's for 05+.

I spoke with Dice Electronics a few minutes ago regarding a kit for the 04 Maxima and Iphone 4. They offered two options. I need to speak with my daughter about her thoughts before I order one but they seem to intergrate into the cars sound system, display on the screen and has a bluetooth that will allow her to speak and listen through the sound system. I think I'll add the cradle but the entire systmen was quoted at $378 shipped from CA. I'm on a budget but this looks like the type of system I need for her. I called and talked with Victor in Sales. He also gave me the location of a couple of installers in metro Atlanta that install theri system. Hope that may help in your search.
