Need aux input for 2004 Maxima with sat radio and ipod interface installed
Hi all,
It's been a long time since I've posted, but recently had a question. I have a non-nav 2004 SE with the factory 6 CD changer, sat radio and iPod interface installed. Is there a product out there that will allow me to add an AUX input to the sat input? I recall reading many years ago about the "PAC-NIS1" (I think) device that allowed you to split the sat input into 2 AUX ports, and would still allow you to use the sat input. Is this true? Does anyone here have one?
I found a few sites that used to sell them, but they no longer have them in stock and instead sell an updated version with an iPod interface (more money, and I already have the factory interface).
Another thought I had was to use some sort of iPod-to-linein adapter. Has anyone had any experience with these?
Thanks!

Thanks... I am hoping to avoid that.
I decided to go with a product by Grom audio (Cable-C-IPD2JK) that adapts the iPod connector to a 3.5mm jack:

I know there are other products out there, but they seem to not work well. Based on the reviews, I think this will work. I'll post back here with results so that any wayward Googler's can see if it works.

No this only works if you have the factory iPod adapter (or, perhaps, after market adapters). It's essentially a "female" iPod connection that connects to the iPod connector coming out of the HU. The other end of this adapter is a 1/8" plug that you can plug into your phone/other device.
