2006 Nissan Maxima common problems fixed
Hey Guy's I've had my SL for a year now. Luckily the tranmission was replaced one month before I purchased it. I dealt with the shimmy for about 8 months now its gone for good. I had motor mounts repaired. Just yesterday I got it back from the dealership the timing chain was going. In a year i've done all that work but once you get past the issues and flaws its the best car in the world. Since I've got the timing chain replaced it rides brand new.

hey buddy quick question how many miles did you have on the car when you did all this work? i have a 2006 max se with about 70,000 on it, it also has lots of mods to. im just wondering if it pays to just get the work done. any info would be appreciated. maximas are great cars i love mine. best car i ever bought. its so fast to. it was fast when it was stock, now with my mods its a rocket..good luck with the max.

jaymaxo6ny What up Man When I bought it had 65,096 on it I did the mounts at approximately 70,000 miles. I now have 74000 and just had the timing chain done yesterday. The majority I payed out of pocket but the security plus warranty was an additional $2000 at purchase it helps alot. It's worth it to do it all now because the car will last longer. Most cars get up in age and then your stuck fixing things so I think this will work better in the long run any more questions feel free.

The road force balance machine is measuring the high/low spots and imperfections on the rim and tire under a load. The road force machine detects side to side wobbling in addition to vertical vibrations. The results tell the tire tech how much weight and where to place it on the rim(inside, outside, or middle).

I got the roadforce done at Discount tire. After that I never saw the shimmy again.twentyeggs is right, my tires were wearing out and I replaced each one by one and noticed the shimmy was slowly going away. If you visit www.carcomplaints.com you guy's will discover the Maxima only has minimal problems compared to many other cars made after 2004 http://www.carcomplaints.com/Nissan/Maxima/. After visiting this website yall are gonna feel good about owning one.
