AC compressor bypass

Well my ac compressor finally **** the bed as did the belt attached. This is my 3rd maxima, and this has never happened before. I have a 2007, what size belt would i need to put back on to bypass my compressor until i can get the funds to finish the whole job. This is my only car and I need it up and running asap. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ohhh, bypassing the compressor? I never thought about that. Compressors aren't cheap, have you got any prices yet?

Well pep boys quoted me around 1200. So i had my car towed from there back to my house. I have had a few friends tell me of similar situations, and they got another belt from autozone or wherever and they asked for a belt with an a/c delete in it (i guess a slightly smaller belt). I know I wont have air conditioning, I just need my car working for now till I get the loot

make sure you don't accidentally have your ac on while you have this delete. i'd pull a fuse if it doesn't affect anything else. I haven't actually looked at the maxima's system or how it is set up, what fail safes they have, but i know some people have destroyed their AC components making a 150 dollar job an 800 dollar job by not having it all in working order and accidentally running it. mainly when they have leaks and let the compressor run without refrigerant. refrigerant has lubricant. ect..
