Headlights we dread the yellow discoloration and fogging!

Hey guy's I know there are a few out there who just dread when the clear headlights on our Maximas become fogged with age. When I purchased my 06SL the lights were slightly fogged. Few people know but few dont to keep my lights clear and new whenever I wash my car, or every 6 months I apply carbanuba wax to head lights. Apply it let it sit for about 15 minutes then wipe dry and your headlights look good as new. For those with severly yellow headlights it may take a few applications of Wax but it works. Go to your local auto store and purchase carbanuba wax or any paste or liquid wax and it works.

its not the wax sitting there that clears the lens up....its the buffing action of removing the dried wax or the buffing action of applying the wax

A friend of mine told me to use toothpaste, he restores the headlights for 20 bucks each and used toothpaste.

I heard toothpaste works good too, somehow or another that wax I use on the lights I do it every so often and they still look brand new. If I wash my car I always clean the headlights afterwards.

tooth paste acts as an abrasive...hence why that works

you can also use a rubbing compound

Water sand with 1500 grit and then use 3M compound. Another way for your lights to sparkle

Kryogen you'd be suprised when I create these posts I always design and anticipate how much positive and negative feedback i'm gonna get from each post, everyone is entitled to their opinion, nothing anybody negative has any impact on me. I am sure am glad I got rid of the yellow headlights though.

Do a simple search for "headlight" in the detailing forum and have a look at the 50 threads talking about this since many years, nothing has changed since.

Why ask a question that has been answered 50 times at least.

Dont blame me for my answers when you ask for something that has already been covered many times.
