intake snorkle

intake snorkle

Hay guys

My standard intake snorkle on my 6th gen dosent seem right. Where the snorkle connects to the airbox it dosent seal it looks like somethings missing cause theres a big leak around the hole to were it connects to the airbox. Ive got some pictures. Can some please tell me whats missing or wrong? cheers kurt.

BUMP. Can someone please just check there 6th gen intake from we're my pictures are and tell me what's missing from mine.

Might be missing a rubber trim, I'm not sure. I'll have to find my old one see if I can see anything.

looks like foam came off from messing with it too much. would help if you mentioned how many times you removed it when trying to modify it. Or if you did anything else to it.

Not a big deal. unless there's movement or noise bothering you?
get some foam tape to make it a tighter seal like before or duct tape it I guess.

I never removed it. It was removed when I got a tranny cooler fitted. It's just the fact it's not sealed I don't like it.

I thought you took it out to experiment with your "snorkel." How did the tranny cooler go? I have always been interested in doing that.

U upgraded the second snorkel witch is underneath the airbox. Tranny cooler made a big difference cars heaps smother now

You'll like the tran cooler. Especially during the summer heat. It's made a big difference for me in the form of smooth shifting under high temps.

Your missing the crappy rubber fitiment piece around the end of the shorkel where it meetes the intake box. Wrap it in black elec. tape or black duct. I did that to mine as well and I have a better conection between the two pieces then it did stock.
