permanently disabling TCS/VDC?

just bought a used 04 SE that is equipped with VDC. about a week into owning it now and the TCS seems to be engaging at inappropriate times...like when making a mild turn off an exit ramp or making a low speed turn through an intersection. Freaked me out the first time it happened. I suspect a bad sensor somewhere. It possibly coincides with a controller arm replacement I had done, but that could be a coincidence. I plan on getting this fixed but want an interim solution. I live in the south so ice and snow aren't a major concern. The one or two days a year the roads get bad everybody says "screw it" and stays home lol.

So for now I can keep hitting the button but that is annoying and if anybody else drives my car it could be an issue. Is there a fuse or some other method I could do to disable it until I get it repaired?

A faulty ABS sensor will do just that. You would have to disable the ABS to disable the TCS. I wouldn't do that though. If you bought it from a car lot, see if they will correct it for you.

I am pretty sure the ABS sensor got coated when the CV boot sprayed all over everything. I just need to disconnect until I get the sensor cleaned/replaced
