RPMs jump at 70+ mph

Hi all,
I am new to this forum, but new I had to sign up to get all of the expert insiders

I recently purchased a 2008 maxima and took it on a road trip to NC, I noticed that once I hit 70+ MPH the car would jolt, almost like I suddenly pushed the gas. I also noticed that when it did that, the RPMs would jump up. It was very sporadic and I figured maybe it was because the cruise control was on. Once the cruise control was turned off, it still had the same issue.....any thoughts???

Auto? Check torque converter clutch operation. It seems like it's slipping or almost downshifting.

It is an automatic...i have done a few google searches and saw where someone had a similar issue and said it was a bad camshaft position sensor...does that sound like something that could be the issue with my max? Thank you for the response very much appreciated!
