You need to be more specific.

Let me help, he pulled his motor out to replace stuff on it... timing chain guides, sensors, tensioners, etc...

Well now he is having trouble getting it back to timing, meaning lining up the cams with the crank.

Take off the valve covers, you will see that the camshafts have a slot where you can insert the wrench and turn them. First, put on the secondary chain, the small ones on each bank so you turn both intake and exhaust cam at the same time. Follow the markings on the sprockets to get the time right, or you'll bend valves. The big sprocket should have a dot on the side where the smaller chain goes, that's the mark. The exhaust sprocket should have 2 markings on it by the teeth. The chain should have one link colored on one end and another end 2 links colored.

Line up the small chain with those markings and links, take out the pin out of the tensioner. Then, bank is ready to be adjusted.
Make sure cylinder 1 is set to TDC.

Have yo taken out the sparkplugs? It might be just compression, unless you feel like hitting something.

I am curious if the cam shaft sprockets go bad due to age?
I guess, if I replace the tensioner should I replace the cam sprockets, crank sprocket and timing chain? The cam sprockets cost more than everything else combined.

Any thoughts would be great!

I'm sorry man but this thread is confusing as hell. So you're saying you pulled out your engine to change tensioner and what not but you don't know how to do the timingdid you watch a youtube video or something
